Why a Dedicated "New Arrivals" Article?

KLM's full July catalog runs to 409 titles. Most of those were already available in June. The new arrivals — the films that genuinely debuted on KLM's IFE system this month — are buried in that list. This article surfaces them. If you've flown KLM recently, these are the titles you haven't had the chance to watch yet.

The Best New Movies on KLM in July 2026

1. No Other Choice (2026) — 92%

Runtime: 2 hr 19 min | RT Score: 97% | Metacritic: 86/100

Park Chan-wook's blackly comic Korean crime film is the highest-scoring new arrival of the month. Lee Byung-hun and Son Ye-jin star in a morally labyrinthine thriller that operates on the surface as entertainment and underneath as something considerably more unsettling. A 97% Rotten Tomatoes score puts it in the company of the director's finest work. If you've been waiting for a new Park Chan-wook film worth your full attention on a long-haul flight — this is it.

2. Marty Supreme (2025) — 91%

RT Score: 93% | Metacritic: 89/100

Josh Safdie's table tennis biopic starring Timothée Chalamet as a legendary American ping-pong champion arrives on KLM after a celebrated festival run. Safdie's kinetic, close-quarters filmmaking style — the same pressure-cooker energy from Uncut Gems — turns competitive table tennis into something genuinely breathtaking. A 91% combined score makes it the most critically acclaimed new release on KLM this July. Don't miss it.

3. Sentimental Value (2025) — 90%

RT Score: 95% | Metacritic: 86/100

Joachim Trier — the Norwegian director behind The Worst Person in the World — returns with another precise, emotionally complex drama. Renate Reinsve stars. The 95% Rotten Tomatoes score places Sentimental Value among the year's most acclaimed films, and its quiet, interior style makes it well-suited to the sustained, uninterrupted viewing a long flight provides. One to watch at night, with the cabin dark.

4. Project Hail Mary (2025) — 86%

RT Score: 94% | Metacritic: 77/100

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's adaptation of Andy Weir's bestselling novel finally makes it to KLM's IFE system. Ryan Gosling plays a lone astronaut who wakes up millions of miles from Earth with no memory of how he got there — and no memory of his mission. The 94% Rotten Tomatoes score is the highest of any sci-fi release of 2025. For the full review, see our Best Sci-Fi Films on KLM — July 2026.

5. The Testament of Ann Lee (2026) — 83%

Runtime: 2 hr 16 min | RT Score: 86% | Metacritic: 80/100

Amanda Seyfried, Lewis Pullman, and Thomasin McKenzie in Mona Fastvold's biographical drama about Ann Lee, the eighteenth-century founder of the Shaker movement who emigrated from England to America. At 83% combined it's a strong critical performer, and the historical subject matter is genuinely unusual territory for a contemporary prestige film. Unhurried and rewarding.

6. Superman (2025) — 76%

Runtime: 2 hr 9 min | RT Score: 83% | Metacritic: 68/100

James Gunn's reboot of the DC Universe — with David Corenswet as Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane — offers a warmer, more hopeful take on the character than the Snyder-era films. At 76% it's a solid rather than exceptional critical performer, but as a crowd-pleasing superhero film for a long-haul flight it delivers. See also our Best Superhero Films on KLM — July 2026.

7. Song Sung Blue (2025) — 69%

Runtime: 2 hr 12 min | RT Score: 77% | Metacritic: 61/100

Hugh Jackman as Neil Diamond in Craig Brewer's music biopic. Kate Hudson co-stars. Brewer (Hustle & Flow, Dolemite Is My Name) brings biographical energy and decent songs; Jackman brings commitment to the role. A 69% combined score reflects mixed-to-positive reviews — most critics found it entertaining without being exceptional. For music biopic fans it's a perfectly watchable flight companion.

8. Wuthering Heights (2026) — 56%

Runtime: 2 hr 16 min | RT Score: 57% | Metacritic: 55/100

Emerald Fennell's adaptation of Emily Brontë's novel — Margot Robbie as Catherine, Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff — divided critics sharply at Cannes 2025. Fennell's interpretation is bold and divisive rather than faithful, which accounts for the middling aggregate scores. If you want challenging, visually distinctive cinema that will provoke strong reactions, this is worth trying. If you want a conventional period drama, look elsewhere.

9. The Drama (2026) — 30%

Runtime: 1 hr 45 min | RT Score: N/A | Metacritic: 59/100

Kristoffer Borgli (Dream Scenario) directs Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, and Alana Haim in a darkly comic film about obsession and creative ambition. Reviews were mixed but the cast alone makes it worth a look on a long flight when you've run out of higher-rated options.

10. The Bride! (2026) — 56%

Runtime: 2 hr 6 min | RT Score: 57% | Metacritic: 55/100

Maggie Gyllenhaal directs Jessie Buckley, Christian Bale, and Annette Bening in a reimagining of the Bride of Frankenstein myth. Divisive on release — formally ambitious but uneven — it earns its place here as a genuinely distinctive piece of filmmaking. Not for every flight, but worth it for adventurous viewers.
