Every SAS long-haul flight comes with a seat-back screen, and the film selection on board changes every month. This page tracks the current SAS inflight entertainment catalogue and ranks it by what critics actually thought — Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic scores for each title, so you can pick before you board rather than scrolling a menu at 38,000 feet. Below are the 50 best-reviewed movies available on SAS in October 2026, newest catalogue first. The full list of films on board runs to several hundred titles across drama, comedy, action, documentary, animation and international cinema; these are the ones worth your flight time.
On the long-haul Airbus A350 there is a seat-back screen at every seat, in all three cabins — roughly 18 inches in SAS Business, 13 inches in Premium Economy and 12 inches in Economy. On short-haul the A320neo has no seat-back screens at all, so on European routes your own phone, tablet or laptop is the entertainment. SAS's A321 cabins are configured inconsistently and are best checked for your specific aircraft.
The list above is SAS's catalogue for the month selected at the top of this page, ranked by critic score, with Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic ratings on every title. SAS refreshes the selection monthly, and inflight.guide re-imports the whole catalogue each month and tags every film with the month it is available in. Films can vary by aircraft, so treat it as the month's catalogue rather than a guarantee for one specific flight.
For EuroBonus members, yes. SAS switched on Starlink Wi-Fi on 24 March 2026 and made it free for EuroBonus members through a partnership with the operator 3, with speeds quoted above 500 Mbps and gate-to-gate coverage. The rollout started with the A320 family and extends to other aircraft types through 2026, so it is not yet fleet-wide. Wi-Fi is also free in SAS Business and for EuroBonus Gold and Diamond members; everyone else can buy a pass onboard or in the SAS app.
Partly. The SAS app carries newspapers, magazines and books free of charge from 22 hours before departure, which is worth downloading on the ground. Film and TV, though, are tied to the seat-back screen on the aircraft that have one — there is no SAS film-streaming service to your own device. On short-haul A320neo routes that means downloading from Netflix, Disney+ or similar before you board.
Not directly. The A350's seat-back system uses a wired headphone socket and does not pair over Bluetooth, so wireless headphones need a Bluetooth transmitter plugged into the seat. SAS provides headphones on long-haul, and your own wired pair will work in the same socket.
